I figured I could recreate my own on a budget. I just needed to hunt down the right lamp base and I knew the shade would be an easy find.
I spotted this heavy brass beauty at a thrift shop.
Definitely in dire need of a makeover.
It also came with a dingy shade that was entirely too small for the lamp itself. Go figure.
I picked up a new white lamp shade at Target.
With the help of some refreshing aqua paint, this is what it looked like after.
Ahhhh, much better.
Sure there are differences, but c'mon, it was a thrift store find for cryin' out loud.
Here's the breakdown:
Lamp - $9.99
New Shade - $14.99
Paint - $3.24
Total cost: $28.22
That's a far cry from $139.

Wow, I'm impressed. It looks just as good as the original! I'm a fan of Z Gallerie also & I'll have to remember that it IS possible to get the look for a lot less. Thanks for the inspiration!
